Obituary of James Joslyn Sr.

James F. Joslyn Sr. “Skip” Canandaigua-James F. Joslyn Sr. passed away October 8th 2014, at the age of 85, with his family by his side. He is predeceased by his wife, Hazel Joslyn and son, Jeffery Joslyn. James is survived by his children, James Joslyn Jr. (Judy Laflam), Lille Clutter (William Clutter), Lori Joslyn-Dries (Joseph Dries). Also, two brothers, John Joslyn (Bum)(Shirley), Howard Joslyn (Marge), Suzie Schinsing (Vincent), grandchildren, Billy, Scott, Shannon, Jennifer, Wendy, Heather, Devin, Sasha, and 6 great-grandchildren, along with several nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends. He served our country in the Marine Corps from November 29, 1950 thru May 9, 1952. He was wounded in action and received a Purple Heart and honorably discharged while fighting in the Korean War. He worked for a local realtor for many faithful years doing indoor/outdoor maintenance. He was also a member for the local chapter of the Moose Lodge. He always enjoyed living his life to the fullest by camping, vacationing to Florida, family gatherings, and Friday Night Beers. He always knew how to bring laughter to the room with his comical interpretations of how his life was lived with repetitive stories….”God damn right!” Friends may call Monday October 13 from 5-7 p.m. at Fuller Funeral Home, Inc. 190 Buffalo St. Canandaigua. An 11 a.m. graveside service will be held Tuesday October 14 in Woodlawn Cemetery, N. Pearl St. Canandaigua.
