Obituary of Carl Benge

Carl E. Benge Loving husband, dad and papa Manchester, N.Y. Carl Benge of South Main St. Manchester went to be with the Lord October 29, 2009 at Clifton Springs Hospital. He was 62. Carl was the son of the late Harold and Edna Benge. He served in the U.S. Air force and retired from General Motors after 32 years of service. During his retirement Carl drove bus for the Victor Central School District. Carl was a member of the American Legion Turner – Schrader Post #34, a member of the Canandaigua Moose Club, and was a lifetime member of the Citizen Hose Company, Shortsville. He also enjoyed fishing and playing golf. Carl was predeceased by a sister Marie Merchant. He is survived by his wife of 41 years Sue Benge. Children; Tom Benge (Michelle) of Waterloo, Bill (Becca) Benge of Clifton Springs, Cristie (Rich) Rennie of Shortsville. A twin sister Carol Haley of Richmond Virginia, sisters Joyce Douglas of Arizona, Lucy Farris of Missouri, brother; Robert Benge of Phelps N.Y., eight grandchildren, and several nieces & nephews. Friends may call Tuesday November 3, 6-9 p.m. at Fuller Funeral Home Inc. 190 Buffalo St. Canandaigua. A Funeral service will be held Wednesday November 4, 11 a.m. at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. A contribution in Carl’s name may be made to the Manchester Ministries c/o Penn Yan Assembly of God 1952 Gibbs Rd. Penn Yan N.Y. 14527.
