Obituary of Kenneth Hood

Kenneth Raymond Hood January 5, 1920 – November 3, 2009 Kenneth R. Hood of Longsdorf Rd. passed away at his home, he was 89 years old. Ken is survived by his wife Barbara, son Douglas, daughter Linda (Anthony) Berardi and grandchildren Nicholas (Melinda) Berardi, Lt. Christopher Berardi, Catherine (Robert) Brodie, Theresa Berardi, Megan Berardi and great-grandson Phillip. Son of J. Douglas and Violet Hood, he proudly served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theater during WW II. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Richard and son Leon. He was employed by Eastman Kodak Company for 20 years and then continued his career at Rochester Institute of Technology for another 25 years. He retired to enjoy his many hobbies and family in 1982 and enjoyed his 27 years of retirement to the fullest. Friends are asked to join the family in a fulfillment of Ken’s wishes for a celebration of his life at St. Januarius Church 180 N. Main St. Naples, from 2:00 to 4:00 on Saturday November 7; also per his wishes, donations can be made to the Veterans Administration, c/o Voluntary Services, 400 Fort Hill Avenue, Canandaigua, N.Y. 14424.
