Obituary of Ethelda Outhouse

Ethelda H. Wilsea-Outhouse “Babe” Manchester- Ethelda Wilsea-Outhouse, 93, of South Avenue, passed away on December 29, 2014 at Clifton Springs Hospital. Born July 27, 1921 in Canandaigua to the late Frances (Carey) and Walter Burns, Ethelda “Babe” had resided in Canandaigua her entire life, except for the last 5 years. She graduated from Canandaigua Academy in 1939. Ethelda was employed by Loblaws Grocery Store and was head cashier for 22 years until her retirement in June of 1976. She married George E. Wilsea on August 3, 1941 in Canandaigua. They shared 50 years together, before his death on August 25, 1991. On July 25, 1998, she married Richard P. Outhouse and they were married for five years, until his death on March 5, 2003. She was pre-deceased by two sisters and brothers-in-law, Dorothy and Henry Butterfield and Beverly and Reginald Edwards; as well as one brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Marian Rice. Ethelda is survived by one son, Brian E.(Linda) Wilsea of Marion; one granddaughter, Michele D. Wilsea-Bancroft of Manchester; two grandsons, Stephen S.(Heather) Wilsea of West Haven, Conn. and Daniel E. Wilsea of Chicago, Il; two great granddaughters, Bayleigh B. and Stella G. Wilsea also of West Haven. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and many good friends. Friends are invited to call Tuesday, January 6, from 2 - 4p.m. and 6 - 8p.m. at Fuller Funeral Home, Inc. 190 Buffalo Street, Canandaigua. A 10a.m. funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 7 at the United Church on Gibson Street, Canandaigua. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
