Obituary of Dorothy Mariner

Dorothy A. Mariner Canandaigua- Dorothy Mariner passed away March 18, 2015 at M.M. Ewing Continuing Care Center. She was predeceased by her husband, A. Shan Mariner in 2005. Dotty received her doctorate at Berkley, CA and retired from SUNY Brockport in 1991, where she was a Professor of Women’s Studies. Dotty was an advocate for the arts and had a positive effect not only on many individuals but with the whole community. Donations may be made to the Ontario County Arts Council, P.O. Box 573, Canandaigua, NY 14424, where a scholarship is being established in the Mariner’s name. A private spring graveside service will be held in Woodlawn Cemetery.
