Obituary of Dorothy Boylan

Dorothy O. Boylan “Aunt Beanie” was well loved by family and friends. Rochester N.Y. Dorothy Boylan of East Main Street Rochester, passed away December 31, 2009 at F.F. Thompson Hospital. Raised in East Bloomfield, Dorothy graduated from East Bloomfield High School with the class of 1936. Employed at Eastman Kodak “during the war” she retired in 1983 with over 40 years of service. A devoted member of the Downtown Presbyterian Church Guild and the Pittsford Rayson-Miller American Legion Auxiliary Unit #899, Dorothy loved to spend time traveling. She is survived by her sister-in-law Helen Boylan of Bloomfield, a nephew Mitchell (Judy) Boylan of South Carolina, a niece Cynthia (David) Langan of Canandaigua, great nephews Christopher (Andrea) Boylan, Keith (Joanne) Boylan, Michael (Laura) Langan, and a great niece Beth (Todd) Thomas. Dorothy is also survived by several great-great nieces and nephews. A 1:00 p.m. funeral service will be held Sunday January 24 at the Downtown Presbyterian Church, 121 N. Fitzhugh St. Rochester. A burial will be held in the East Bloomfield Cemetery at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers a contribution in Dorothy’s name may be made to the Bloomfield Public Library, P.O.
