Rick was a special friend in Junior High and Senior High at Falconer Central School. Rick was a genuine friend, he displayed a great sense of humor, and was fun to be with. His family lived on Falconer Street, and I worked at the James Prendergast Free Library in Jamestown. After school got out, I would walk over Falconer Street to the Bus Stop over on Main Street in the central Business District. I would walk with Rick to his house, and we often would share in some great conversations about life in general. He was the last school friend I say on the day I left to go into the Army. I always remembered his great words of wisdom to me , and encouraged me in my days ahead in the military. I will always remember Rick Steck has a great friend. He has done well in his life. My thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time. I am Art Kinney.

Dear Rick, As a friend and fellow Elk, I want to thank you for inspiring me to be a better person. You were always available when needed and had the knowledge and experience to get the job done. You exemplified the true meaning of being an Elk through your love of family and devotion to our lodge. You are irreplaceable
and I will always have you in the back of my mind telling me relax
It will be alright. Your family is our family too and we will do everything in our power to support them in your absence! Fraternally yours, Rob Coe Jr
