Obituary of Milo Gillam

MILO V. "MIKE" GILLAM Milo V. Gillam of Romulus, formerly of Clifton Springs, died Wednesday, June 2, 2010. Friends may call at the Fuller Funeral Home, 190 Buffalo St., Canandaigua, Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. where a memorial service will be held Saturday morning at 10:00. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, Office of Development, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607. Milo “Mike” was born in Stanton, Iowa on February 22, 1915 to George and Anna (Veak) Gillam. Shortly after his birth his family moved to Farmington, NY. He attended Canandaigua Academy and married Edith “Tiny” Hoffman in 1937. In 1946 he went into dairy farming with his brother, Basil, in Seneca Castle. They continued to farm until retirement in 1981 when they moved to Seneca Lake. Mr. Gillam was a member of Seneca Castle Methodist Church, Milner Lodge F&AM in Victor and the Shriners. Milo is predeceased by his wife of 57 years, Edith. He is survived by his daughters Ann (Robert) Wells, Apex, NC, Sandra (David) Raysor, Greece, NY and Mary (Richard) McGregor, Farmington; his son Michael Gillam, Seneca Castle; five grandchildren Michael Wells, Kara Wells, Jacob Toffet, Lance Gillam and Stacy Gillam and two great granddaughters Hannah and Loren Wells.
