MARGUERITE MOORE

1923 – 2007

CANANDAIGUA: Marguerite Moore, 83, of the Chosen Spot Apartments, died Tuesday, September 4, 2007 at Thompson Hospital following a brief illness.

Marguerite was born in Canandaigua on Sept. 16, 1923 to the late Harold and Clara Walbridge Johnson. She was a graduate of Canandaigua Academy and had operated a seamstress shop out of her home on Chapel Street where she remained devoted to her customers for many years.

The widow of George Moore, she is survived by her daughters Nancy Kocher of Victor and Gail (Ron) Blodgett of Corvallis, Ore.; her granddaughters Kelly Kocher and Pam and Kelly Henwood; her sister Joann (Ralph) Toscano of Manchester; her brother Harold (Marion) Johnson of Rochester; her sisters-in-law Gerry and Evelyn Moore and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind many friends at the Chosen Spot. Marguerite was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law Doris and William Moldoff and her brother-in-law Pat Angeline.

There will be no prior calling hours. Funeral services will be private and burial will be in Academy Cemetery. Contributions in her memory may be directed to a local humane society.
