Obituary of Ruth Franklin

Ruth Franklin "A True Survivor" CANANDAIGUA: Ruth Franklin, 70, of Parrish St., died Thursday, April 3, 2008 at the M.M. Ewing Continuing Care Center. Ruth was born in Rochester on August 25, 1937 to the late Linus and Constance Sawdey. She had been a customer service rep for Schneider Tool in Rochester and later for the former Kennedy Furniture Store in Canandaigua. Ruth was a member of the Chapin United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband James of Canandaigua; her children Connie Potter of Lyons, Tamara Gilland of Arkansas and Steven Franklin of the Town of Burns, NY; 9 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; her sisters Constance (Peter) Barker of Pittsford, Joan (Frank) Pimm of Las Vegas, Nev. and Geri Sheldon of Henrietta; her brothers George (Diane) Sawdey of Spencerport and Arthur (Patricia) Sawdey of Webster; two aunts Joan Vosper of Mendon and Helen Carey of Rochester and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Fuller Funeral Home, 190 Buffalo St., Canandaigua, Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. where services will be held Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
