Obituary of Cleo Floyd

CLEO FLOYD PENN YAN: Cleo Floyd, 85, passed away peacefully June 17, 2010 at the Homestead in Penn Yan. There will be no prior calling hours. Funeral services will be private and interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Canandaigua. Contributions in his memory may be made to The Homestead, 418 North Main St., Penn Yan, NY 14527 or to a Veterans Service Organization. To express condolences or to share a memory on line please visit www.fullerfh.com. He was born on March 1, 1925 in Henderson, KY to the late Hobart and Minnie Floyd. Cleo was a career military man serving with the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Army stationed in various locations including Korea, Viet Nam and Germany. He retired after thirty years of service from Ft. Knox, Kentucky. He had been employed by Seneca Army Depot and had been a member of the Masonic Lodge. He is survived by his daughters Donna (William) Herold of Farmington and Robin (Michael) Warner of Penn Yan; his stepdaughter Susan (Donovan) Smith of Canandaigua and his grandson Matthew Smith. He was predeceased by his wife Lee Ann Floyd in 2009.
