JAMES M. DAY Loved the Outdoors CANANDAIGUA: James Day, 84, of Seneca Drive, died Tuesday, July 27 at Thompson Hospital. Mr. Day was born on August 1, 1925 in English Center, Penn. He attended school in English Center and served with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in France during WW-2. He was employed by PPG Industries in Rochester for many years. Jim was an avid outdoorsman and especially looked forward to camping trips with the family. He was a member of the Hol-Field Rod & Gun Club and attended the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Canandaigua. The last of ten siblings, he is survived by his wife of 58 years Evelyn Goodberlet Day of Canandaigua; his sons John (Alice) Day, Proctor,VT, Robert "Rick"(Joan)Day, Crystal Beach, Douglas (Denise) Day, Fairport, James (Diane) Day, Canandaigua, Thomas (MaryKay) Day, Seattle, WA and Donald Day, Gorham; twelve grandchildren and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Fuller Funeral Home, 190 Buffalo St., Canandaigua, Friday from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held 10:30 Saturday morning at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 320 South Pearl St., Canandaigua. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery, Henrietta. The family has requested that memorial contributions be directed to either the Canandaigua Emergency Squad or to the Sands Cancer Center.
