Obituary of H. Lucille Kraemer

H. Lucille McLouth Kraemer Loving Mother Canandaigua Always graceful at the age of 87. She is survived by her 2 sons, Thomas (Eugenia) McLouth and James McLouth both of Canandaigua. Granddaughter Rebecca McLouth, of Boston Massachusetts. One brother, Gerald VanVooren, of Carlisle, Pa., whom she was proud to raise with her sons. Nephews John (Gail) Rice, of Apple Valley, Minnesota, Robert Rice, of California, and Charles (Theresa) Wheeler, Westfield NY. And as a nephew Peter Quethera, of Geneva, NY. Nieces Kathy Rice, of Geneva NY and Peggy (John) Wood of Stockton, Ca. One grand nephew, Kevin Rice, 3 Grand Nieces, Colleen Rice, Sarah and Emily Wood. She was pre-deceased by her Husband Charles McLouth, son David McLouth. Daughter Susan McLouth, granddaughter Amanda McLouth, Sister Elaine Rice, and her second husband William Kraemer. Lucille attended St. Mary’s School and Canandaigua Academy, followed by RBI. She worked at Eastman Kodak until her marriage to Charles McLouth in 1944. She then had the opportunity to live the life of a farmer’s wife, in Shortsville, NY. In 1957, along with her husband Charles, They opened McLouth Pontiac-Buick, a car dealership in Canandaigua where she reigned as vice- president until Charles death in 1963. After that she worked for the city school district, Agway, and Haag Distributing. She enjoyed playing bridge and bowling with her friends. Lucille’s favorite job was the care of her family. Her arms were always open for a hug and her greatest joy was her family’s presence. She was much loved by all who knew her because of her kind and caring ways. Lucy suffered many losses but always held to her faith in God’s love. Friends may call Monday from 6-8 pm. at the Fuller Funeral Home 190 Buffalo St. Canandaigua. A prayer service will be held Tue. 930 am. at the Funeral Home followed by a funeral mass at 10 am. at St. Mary’s Church in Canandaigua. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Contributions may be made in her name to Wood Library 134 North Main St. Canandaigua NY 14424 or a charity of the donor’s choice.
