Sara DiPietro Parlato

Sara Parlato died on December 13, 2010 after a brief illness at FF Thompson Hospital.

She was one of nine children born to Louis and Concetta DiPietro in

Portland, New York. She married Charles A. Parlato in 1942 and was

widowed in 1957.

Sara lived most of her life in Fredonia, New York, and then moved to

Canandaigua in 1987 to be near her two daughters, Olivia (Earl) Thomas and Nancy Burson. She has a son Charles (Carolyn) Parlato who lives in Tallahassee, FL.

She is survived by seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, Russell DiPietro who lives in

Dunkirk, NY, and a sister, Leonora Hilton who lives in Jupiter, FL, and many nieces and nephews.

Sara was an inspiration to all who knew her. And her children are

forever grateful for her unending generosity and love.

The family would like to thank the staff at Quail Summit for the care

they gave her in her final years.

There will be no calling hours. A funeral service will be held in Fredonia, NY, at the convenience of her family.
