Obituary of Florence Combs

Florence I. Combs Canandaigua, NY Florence Combs (Thousand) 62, of Canandaigua passed away peacefully February 9, 2011 at Thompson Hospital. She was predeceased by her loving husband George, and parents Sherman and Helen Thousand. Florence is survived by her children, Arick (Deb) Combs, Patricia (Albert) Gliewe; sister, Rose (Floyd) Brown; brother, Philip Thousand; brother-in-laws, Kenneth (Wendy) Combs, David (Jean) McNish; and several nieces and nephews. Florence worked 25 years for Thompson Health in the Continuing Care Center and cared deeply for the residents. She will be remembered for her kind and loving manner and will be dearly missed by every life she touched. At Florence’s request, there will be no memorial services. A celebration of her life will be held this summer with a gathering of friends and family. Donations in her honor can be made to the Canandaigua Emergency Squad or Middlesex Volunteer Fire Department of which she was a past member.
