Obituary of Norma Clark
Norma Reynolds Clark

Norma Louise Reynolds Clark went to be with the Lord on March 14, 2011.
She was born to John F. Reynolds and Blanche Parker on January 2, 1923, in Hornell, the eldest of eight. She married Merwin R. Clark on February 12, 1946. The Clarks had just celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary.
Norma graduated from Almond High School in 1940, valedictorian of her class, and in 1941, from Bryant Stratton Business School in Buffalo, New York. She joined the Marines in 1944 and served until 1946 at Cherry Point, North Carolina in the Pay Masters Office. While raising 5 children, she worked as a Library Assistant at Alfred-Almond Central School for 20 years. Upon retirement, Norma and her husband traveled the United States and wintered in south Texas for 17 years.
Norma was a cat lover, an avid reader and bird watcher, enjoyed needlepoint, knitting, crocheting, and quilting. She belonged to the Twentieth Century Club in Almond, charter member of the Almond Historical Society, served on the local board of elections, and was a long time member of Almond Union of Churches.
She is survived by her husband, Merwin, daughters, Kathleen (Brad) Adams, Deborah (Dan) Safholm, Melanie (Rod) Austin, Priscilla Clark, and son, Douglas (Julia) Clark, 13 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren. One brother, Keith Reynolds, and two sisters, Doris Cuccia and Jane Augistini, also survive her.
She was predeceased by brothers, John, Benjamin, Edward and Richard Reynolds.
The family wishes to thank the staff of the Ontario County Health Facility for its exemplary care for the past three years.
Friends are invited to call Friday, March 18, from 3-5 pm at Fuller Funeral Home, Inc. 190 Buffalo St. Canandaigua, where a 5 pm memorial service will immediately follow.
