Obituary of Jeanne Pierce

JEANNE ANN PIERCE "NENIE" CANANDAIGUA: Nenie Pierce, 71, of Saltonstall St., died on Friday, March 25, 2011 surrounded by her loving family at Thompson Hospital. Nenie was born in Canandaigua on February 28, 1940 to the late Donald and Helen Leary Pierce. She became a familiar sight walking from her home and traveling throughout downtown Canandaigua. She loved people, the activities at the Salvation Army Center (especially the covered dinners)and her cat Precious. She is survived by five brothers Edward (Dorothy) Pierce, Dublin, GA, Gary (Sally) Pierce, Edgewater, FL, Philip Pierce, Dunedin, FL and Ronald and Charles Pierce both of Canandaigua; three sisters Joanne Sweet, Janet (Don) Doell and Nell (James) Rosini all of Canandaigua; her sister-in-law Jane Pierce, Victor and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her brother Frank. Nenie's family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses at Thompson Hospital and the Salvation Army for their care and support during the last few days. Friends may call at Fuller Funeral Home, 190 Buffalo St., Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. where services will follow visitation at 4:00. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery at a later date.
