Obituary of Lavern Fagg

Lavern T. Fagg Canandaigua, NY Lavern Fagg, 80, passed away March 27, 2011 at F.F. Thompson Hospital. Vern was born in Bend, Oregon. He served with both the U.S. Navy from 1947 to 1950 and the U.S. Air Force from 1950 to 1955. Holding several positions at the VA Medical Center, he retired as the Supervisor of Building Maintenance. Vern also worked part-time as a nurse’s aide at F.F. Thompson Hospital. He was a member of St. Mary’s Church and American Legion Post 256. Vern is survived by his children, Rita Kimble, Thomas (Sheila) Fagg, Sam (Anne) Fagg; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and a brother Robert (Mary) Fagg. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 57 years, Catherine (Catalfamo) Fagg. In accordance with Vern’s wishes, there will be no calling hours. A 3 p.m. memorial mass will be held on Friday, April 1 at St. Mary’s Church, 95 N. Main St. Canandaigua. Arrangements have been entrusted to Fuller Funeral Home, Inc. Canandaigua. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Vern’s name may be made to St. Mary’s Church or a charity of the donors choosing.
