Obituary of Jean McMahon

JEAN VanDUSEN BRAHM McMAHON Loving Mother,sister,Grandmother Canandaigua, NY Age 75 of the Emerson Rd. passed away July 27, 2008. She was born January 15, 1933, and graduated from St. Mary’s school in 1947; Canandaigua Academy in 1951 and spent two years at Maryknoll, NY. Mrs. McMahon worked for Rochester Telephone Company as an operator for 27 years. She played for the Norma Shop softball team for four years and married the late Donald Brahm in 1955. Jean is survived by three daughters; Catherine (Freddie) Albrecht, Judith Brahm (Jerry Jones), Sheila Holtz, and one son Richard Brahm; also one brother, John (Anne) VanDusen and one sister, Helen Bernard of Shaftsbury, Vermont, Four grandchildren Marie, Freddie, Tricia Albrecht and Rachael Holtz. Several nieces and nephews: Vicki & Jerry Shive, Greg & Michele Lloyd and Kenny Bakker and their families. She was predeceased by her husband John (Dick) MCMahon in 1996 also by a sister Shirley Bakker. Friends may call Wed. from 2-4 & 7-9 at the Fuller Funeral Home 190 Buffalo St. Canandaigua. A prayer service will be held Thu. At 10 AM. At the Funeral Home followed by a funeral Mass at 10:30 AM. at St. Dominick’s Church in Shortsville NY. Interment will be made in Calvary Cemetery Canandaigua. Contributions may be made in her name to St. Dominic’s Church, Shortsville NY.
