Obituary of James Yost

James L. Yost Canandaigua, NY James Yost, 76, of 80 Parrish St. passed away May 10, 2011 at Elm Manor Nursing Home. He was the son of the late Willard and Francis Yost. As a resident of Dansville, James served as Past President of the Downtown Business Association and Past President of the Union Hose #1 Fire Company. He was a lifetime member of the Western New York Volunteer Fireman Association with 25 years of volunteer service. James also served as Past President of the Livingston County Hotel, Restaurant and Liquor Dealers Association. He served two years on the revitalization committee for improving Downtown Dansville and on the industrial Park Committee. James served as the bingo inspector of Dansville, and was elected to the board of Directors of the Clara Barton Chapter #1 Red Cross. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose #1130 Dansville and the Canandaigua B.P.O.E #1844. He is survived by an aunt, Marion McNeil (Sanford, Fl.); special friend, Marian Sisson (Dansville), special daughter, Betsy Lee; special grand-daughters, Madison, Kaitlyn Lee (Dansville) and several cousins. Friends may call, Sunday, May 15 from 3-7 pm at Fuller Funeral Home, Inc. 190 Buffalo St. Canandaigua. A 10 am funeral service will be held Monday, May 16 at the funeral home.
