Obituary of Elizabeth Buddenhagen

Elizabeth L. [Sprague] Buddenhagen Suddenly, August 14, 2008 in Rochester at age 21 Elizabeth is survived by her best friend and husband of 14 months, Jason Buddenhagen, her parents Les and Paulette Sprague of Canandaigua, grandmother Louise Ryder, sisters Suzanne [Richard] Wood and Evelyn Nourse, brothers David [Julie] Masten, Bill [Michelle] Masten, Micah Sprague, and a special cousin Heather Burkey. Elizabeth is also survived by Jason’s parents Jim and Deb Buddenhagen of Stanley and brother Jacob, Grandparents Jeanette and Bob Hyck of Florida and Lois Howell of North Tonawanda, along with her aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many beloved friends. Elizabeth, excited about life, did not waste a moment of her 21 years. She was dedicated to Jehovah God at an early age and had served as a zealous full-time volunteer minister. She had traveled to other states where encouragement from God’s word was needed. Elizabeth was known by all for her infectious smile, positive outlook and unlimited loyal love. She was so close to her mother, Paulette, that she asked her Mom to be an attendant at her wedding. Little Lizzie held her friends and family close to her heart, always adding a spark to their lives. Whether it was preaching, snowboarding, singing, dancing, scrap booking or just talking about life, she threw her heart into it. For Elizabeth it was: “Go big or go home.” One of Elizabeth’s favorite Bible passages is Micah 6:8 which reads: ”He has told you, O earthling man, what is good. And what is Jehovah asking back from you but to exercise justice and to love kindness and to be modest in walking with your God?” She had written this in her Bible: “The Truth is not part of our life; it is our life. Everything else revolves around it.” All are welcome to attend a Memorial talk celebrating Elizabeth’s life on: Saturday, August 23rd at 3 p.m. Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses 1344 Moseley Rd (Route 250) just off Rte 96 Fairport, NY A gathering will follow the Memorial at Harris Hill Park on Rte 441 in Penfield (across from Wegmans.) In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Jason Buddenhagen to help defray medical expenses: 370 Jefferson Ave. Apt 10-2 Fairport, NY 14450
