Obituary of Dale Wyffels

DALE F. WYFFELS Loving Son, Brother & Friend CANANDAIGUA: An Angel has just been accepted into heaven. Dale F. Wyffels passed away June 12, 2011 after a long and courageous battle with many challenges. Dale was born May 9, 1952. As a young child, Dale faced many physical adversities but remained strong and happy with a winning smile and with mischievous energy. As he grew older, Dale set out to be a farmer, a profession he proudly worked at for many years. He walked to work daily and was a great help on his Uncle Albert’s farm. He loved to drive farm tractors and had a great affection for all the farm animals. When his physical limitations became more oppressive, he was welcomed into the ARC Community and was very productive and happy to be a part of the Abbey Industries Work Program. He took the bus faithfully each day and enjoyed working with his many friends. In 2000, Dale moved into the ARC Bloomfield Group Home to live a more independent live. He settled into this wonderful home and was loved by all of his friends and staff. Dale is survived by his mother, Mary Lou, Brother Dave (Gail), nephew Tim (Barb) and Grandniece Abbye Wyffels, Aunts Peggy Wyffels, Marge Wyffels and Barb (Wyffels) Mack and many cousins. He is also survived by his many friends at his home in Bloomfield Danny, Rich, Theresa F., Kathy, Bruce, Richard, Theresa P., Jerrold, Jackie and Julie and all the exceptional and caring staff. He was pre-deceased by his father Donald Wyffels, Uncles Richard, Martin, Robert and Albert Wyffels, Aunt Betty Wyffels and Grandparents Martin and Adeline Wyffels and George and Louise Hardiman. There will be no prior calling hours. Dale’s memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church on Wednesday, June 15, at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Dale’s family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations in his memory be directed to ARC, County Road 46, Canandaigua, NY 14424 (Bloomfield House).
