Obituary of Colleen White

Colleen McGuire White Colleen McGuire White, formerly of Bristol, and recently residing in Homosassa, Fla., passed away, at age 64, on June 14, 2011, after a three-year battle with cancer. Colleen worked her entire career as an administrative assistant at Ontario County Highway Department, Mobil Chemical Tenneco Packaging and retired in 2008 from Pactiv and the Town of Canandaigua Planning Board. Colleen loved to dance and became part of the Canandaigua Downtown Tappers, performing for the veterans, nursing homes and parades. She was a member of American Legion Post 256 in Canandaigua, as well as Lodge 1434 of the Crystal River Moose in Homosassa. Colleen is survived by her son, Jeff (Kim) White of Florence, Ore.; grandchildren, Tom White of Prattsburgh and Ryan White of Florence; sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and Tom DeFazio of Canandaigua; a sister and brother in Nebraska; loving companion and caregiver, Terry Brace; and dear “BFF,” Marie Elliott of Canandaigua. She was predeceased by her son, Randy White in 2008; and parents, Mac and Jean McGuire. Colleen requested no services and wished just to be remembered as she was known. Graveside services will be at the convenience of the family at Whitney Cemetery in Seneca Castle. Donations to HPN Hospice, 3545 N. Lecanto Highway, Beverly Hills, FL 34465, would be appreciated.
