Obituary of Judith Herring

Judith A. (Bennett) Herring Canandaigua, NY Judith A. Herring, beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, died on Thursday, Aug. 11, 2011, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in 1950 in Canandaigua, Judi graduated from Canandaigua Academy and spent her adult years enriching the lives of family members and friends. Her sense of humor and insight made those of us fortunate enough to know her think harder, laugh longer and simply be thankful that she was a part of our lives. Judi had many creative talents. Her love for animals meant longer, better lives for the cats and dogs through the years who found love and care within her home. She was warm and generous, had a great sense of humor and a sparkle in her eyes that could light up a room. Though she will be missed, her indomitable spirit will live on in all of us who loved her. She is survived by her mother, Shirley Stambach; sons, Jeremy (Melanie) Cody, Bryan (Tracy) Cody; sisters Deborah Dubitsky, Elizabeth Taylor, Rebecca Myers, Theresa (Michael) Passalacqua; seven grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 16, at 7 p.m. at Fuller Funeral Home, 190 Buffalo St., Canandaigua. Donations may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society
