Obituary of Robert Shappee

Robert G. Shappee CANANDAIGUA — Robert G. Shappee passed away unexpectedly on Friday, Sept. 23, 2011, at the age of 71. He was born on Sept. 19, 1940, in Elmira, N.Y. He loved his family, grandchildren, friends, race horses and golf. Robert was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, friend, co-worker and will be missed by all. Those who had the honor to know him will remember his compassion, smile, humor and kindness to all he met. He was predeceased by his mother, Hazel; father, Harry; and son, Timothy Shappee. He is survived by his sons, Ken (Glory) and Dan (Tracy); grandchildren, Lauren, Tyler and Ethan Shappee; brothers and sisters, James (Donna) Shappee, Shirley (James) Harvey, Harry (Leah) Shappee and Harriet (David) Janousek; and many nieces and nephews. The family invites friends to call on Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Fuller Funeral Home, 190 Buffalo St., Canandaigua. His funeral will be held on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
