Obituary of Josephine Kinne

Josephine (Mancini) Kinne Went home to the Lord Thanksgiving day 2011 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Syracuse NY. 1918. She is survived by three daughters; Paula (Ronald) Mayer, Andrea Cole, and Jennifer (Marvin) Shacket. Five grandchildren Lauren Stauffer, Kristin (Dean) Power, Alisa Mayer, Brianna Cole and Daniel (Sarah) Cole. Three great grandchildren; Christopher, Rebecca and Rhiannon and one great great grandchild Julian. Also survived by a nephew Anthony (Mary Ann) Tartaglia and several nieces and nephews. Josephine was predeceased by her husband Gordon O. Kinne, Mother; Pasqualina (Testa) Mancini, father Andrew Mancini, brother; Anthony Mancini, sister; Madeline (Mancini) Tartaglia, brother in law; Salvatore Tartaglia. Mrs. Kinne was a member of the Rochester Personal Women and served as president. She retired from Rochester General Hospital after 23 years and volunteered after another 19 years. While she lived in Syracuse she worked for several corporations. During WWII. She and husband relocated to Burlington Iowa to work at the Iowa Ordinance plant, before her husband went into the service. Friends may call Tuesday November 29, 2011 from 2 pm. to 4 pm. and 6 pm. to 8 pm. at the Fuller Funeral Home 190 Buffalo St Canandaigua. A prayer service will be held Wednesday at 9:30 am. at the funeral home followed by a funeral mass at 10 am. at St. Mary’s church. Burial will be at St. Agnes Cemetery in Syracuse NY. Donations may be made in her name to the Ontario - Yates Hospice 256 Pre - Emption Rd. Geneva NY 14456 or Rochester General Hospital Foundation 1425 Portland Ave. Rochester NY 14621.
