Obituary of Frederick Mason

Frederick G. Mason CANANDAIGUA - Frederick G. Mason, of Macedon Road, passed away on Dec. 15, 2011, at F.F. Thompson Hospital. Fred was born in Canandaigua. He was a member of the New York State Fire Police Association, New York State Northern Central Association and Ontario County Fire Police. He also was a member of Canandaigua Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7414, American Legion Post 256 and Merrill Hose Company; and was captain of the Canandaigua Fire Police. He worked many years for Lisk Manufacturing Company in Canandaigua and retired from Eastman Kodak after 32 years of service. He is survived by his wife, Irene Mason; children, Donna Tiffany, Mary (David) Hayes, Deborah (Dan) Jensen, Patty (John) VanTroost, Donovan (Sue) Smith and George (Mona) Smith; brother, Edwin (Jeanne) Mason; nephews, Brian, James and Michael Mason; great-nephews, Brian Jr. and Jeff Mason; great-nieces, Amanda and Janelle Mason; several grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Fred was predeceased by a brother, Robert Balde Mason Jr. Friends may call on Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. at Fuller Funeral Home, 190 Buffalo St., Canandaigua. A funeral service will be held on Monday at 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Contributions may be made in Fred's name to Canandaigua Ambulance Squad, 233 N.
