Mert meant a lot to my Dad Arthur "Pete" Chambers and I believe he was an inspiration for my Dad through Dialysis. I am so happy that the two of them met and have always felt that it was kismet considering both of their wives passed on the same exact day. Mert and Eleanor can now be reunited!
I haven't dared to share the news of Mert's passing with my Dad yet due to his frail state at the moment. I know he would be heart broken, as I am sure you all are to have lost such a wonderful soul. Whenever I would see Mert at Dialysis he always had such a great spirit and always seemed to be positive about everything. I am sad that I am not going to get to try one his pies.
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you! Keep the positiveness that Mert had within you all and you will overcome any sadness.
