Obituary of Howard Green

HOWARD GREEN 1945-2012 BRISTOL: Howard Green,66, passed away on March 1, 2012 at Unity Hospital in Rochester. Howard was born on October 11, 1945 in Canandaigua to the late Myron and Florence Rogers Green. He was a graduate of the Eastman School of Music and did post graduate work at Eastman and Appalachian State University. Howard has been associated with FLCC for over thirty years where he was an Academic Support Specialist and Peer Tutor Coordinator and an Adjunct Tennis Instructor. He was a member of the NYS Teachers Association. He is survived by his wife Betti Wheeler Green of Bristol; his sons Joshua (Anna Bengel) Green of Durham, NC and Jeremy (Armando Huerta) Green of Uganda, East Africa; two sisters Margaret White and Helen Anna (Larry) Launt both of Honeoye; his sisters-in-law Ethel Green of AL and Margo Wheeler of Fairport; his brother-in-law William (Wendy) Wheeler of Seneca Point and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Frank Green and his brother-in-law Ronald Wheeler. There will be no prior calling hours. A celebration of Howard's life will begin at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, March 9, at the United Church of Bristol, 7177 County Road 2, Bloomfield. It was Howard's suggestion that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be directed to FLCC Foundation, Physical Education Tennis Court Enhancement Fund, 4355 Lakeshore Drive, Canandaigua, NY 14424.
