Janet was a lovely person. Having Janet "babysit" for us Reed Kids allowed my parents to go out and not worry. I spent many a night with my head on Janet's lap watching the Lawrence Welk show. When I hear the "champagne music" I always think of her.
Janet was stern, fun and full of love. She was a member of our family and much like a 3rd parent.
Love you Janet!
- Mike Reed

Janet was our friend and babysitter for many years. We always felt comfortable having Janet take care of our kids. She was the boss and we liked that.
As you know she worked for many years at day care, sometimes walking to work and sometimes riding her one speed bike.
She was a fabulous fund raiser for St. Mary's Church - I think she holds the record for raffle ticket sales.
She was a fussy eater, but if there was a Pepsi in the frig. all was well.
She never called in sick for babysitting jobs because she never got sick.
She loved hot weather, even while the rest of us were sweating and exhausted.
Although many people pitched in to help Janet during the last several years, none more than Anne Perron. Janet was lucky to have Anne at her side day in and day out.
Lots of memories for us and many others.
Rest in peace, Janet.

Janet was my babysitter 50 years ago. She took care of our family of 5 boys so we always respected her!
Janet wouldn't let me go to church until I finished my orange juice. Since I was taught it was sin not to attend church I was in a dilemma . I drank the orange juice--and because of Janet, I still drink my orange juice!
She touched so many lives and we will miss her.
