Obituary of Peter Taylor

Peter R. Taylor Jr. Canandaigua- Peter Taylor, 79, of East Lake Rd., passed away Sunday, March 4, 2012 at F.F. Thompson Hospital. Born in Hornell, Pete graduated from Canandaigua Academy with the class of 1952. After graduation he served with the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. In 1955 he married Ellen Miller and became a New York State Trooper. Pete retired in 1977 as a Zone Sergeant. Following his retirement he and Ellen owned and operated Drew Stationary in Canandaigua. Always being one to serve, Pete was very active in the downtown business district. He is survived by his wife; Ellen, sons; Douglas (Meri-Adele) Taylor, Paul (Kathy) Taylor, daughter; Linda Taylor Anderson, three grandchildren; Jason and Scott Taylor, Michael (Darla) Struble, three great-grandchildren, sister-in-law; Ruth Nielson, of Canandaigua, and several nieces and nephews. The family invites friends to call Thursday March 8 from 10-11:30 am at Fuller Funeral Home, Inc. 190 Buffalo St. Canandaigua, where a memorial service will take place at 11:30 am.
