Obituary of Lillian Deline

Lillian Deline At age 93, Lillian Deline passed away the morning of May 8, 2012, at the M.M. Ewing Continuing Care Center in Canandaigua, NY. Born April 30, 1919, in Oswego, NY, she was the daughter of Alfred and Cecilia Wise (deceased). Lillian is survived by three daughters: Constance Mahool (Dana Malley) of Ithaca, NY, Marcia L. Deline and Sharon (Robert) Pepper of Canandaigua; and one granddaughter, Nicole L. Mahool, of Waldorf, Maryland; as well as many nieces and nephews. She worked 18 years as a switchboard operator for Bell Telephone in Oswego, NY, and in 1972 moved to Ithaca, NY, where she worked as a switchboard operator at Tompkins Community Hospital for 11 years, retiring in 1983 — not only from the hospital, but also from her supervisor post at Ithaca’s Oak Hill Manor. She lived her retirement years at Bethany Center in Horseheads, NY, and for the last 8 years in Canandaigua. A special thank you to the associates on the Pines for their compassionate care. Friends may call Friday May 11, 2012 from 10 am. - 11:30 am. at the First United Methodist Church 100 North Main St. Canandaigua followed by a funeral service at 11:30 am. at the Church. A Private Burial will be in Frear Memorial Park in Ithaca NY. In Lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her name to the Sharon M. Pepper Wish Upon A Star Program % MM.
