Well this is good bye for now, I hope you are in a good place, with old friends from better days. Thanks for all the good times & memories in Chippewa. You were a man that didnt accept defeat or give up on whatever you had to do in life, I always admired that in you.
I got a kick out of the Sun Room you built on the back of the cottage. It still makes me smile when remember that Saturday morning Dick, Linda, Sandee, the kids & I left at 10 am to spend the day on the water. You had five windows installed and were starting on the remaining few around the side, we all figured you would be done by lunch time. After a long day on the water we returned that evening expecting to see the finished product with you & Anita sitting out there drinking tea. To our surprise, it was still a construction site in progress but now had only one window in place, instead of the original four when we left that morning. We got a chuckle out of it but I knew if something bugged you about a project you were doing, that you wouldnt give up till it was right. No way, a sixteenth of a bubble off plum was gonna do.
I will also miss all the card games at that big round oak table where we nursed sunburns & you taught us to play Spades when I was twenty. I remember my beer or coffee cup jumping in the air when you would get a chance to trump someones ace and slam your big hand to the table. Those were just a few of many memories I will always carry with me. Good journey and know that you will be missed for all my days.
