Obituary of James Van Damme

James H. Van Damme Canandaigua-James Harry Van Damme, 66, of Canandaigua, died November 21, 2012 after a brief illness at Highland Hospital. He was born June 24, 1946 in Canandaigua, the son of the late Edward and Frances Van Damme, and was one of six brothers. As a graduate of Canandaigua Academy, he served in the US Army, attended Highland Hospital School of Nursing and Allentown (PA) Hospital School of Anesthesia, becoming a Nurse Anesthetist, working at several local hospitals including Strong Memorial and Clifton Springs Hospital. He is predeceased by his son, Brett and brother, Ed. He is survived by his son, Ryan and daughter-in-law Erin; grandchildren, Georgiana and Kiefer; daughter-in-law, Nicole; grandchildren, Cameron and Zoe; brothers, Bob, Jerry (Barb), Dave and Bill (Pat) as well as several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Friday, November 30, from 2 – 4 pm and 6 – 8 pm at Fuller Funeral Home, Inc. 190 Buffalo St. Canandaigua.
