SAMUEL J. McKEE BLOOMFIELD: Longtime Oakmount Road resident, Samuel McKee, 95, passed away at the Canandaigua V.A.Medical Center, Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012. Mr. McKee was born in Bloomfield on Oct. 10, 1917 to the late William and Sarah(Wallace)McKee. He served with the U.S. Army Air Corps Alaska Division in Alaska, Canada, and the United States during WW-2 and was honorably discharged with the rank of Master Sergeant. His responsibilities as a Line Chief not only included the maintainance of aircraft but the instruction and supervision of over 165 enlisted men. He was a 64 year member of Bloomfield Savage Post American Legion, a life member of the DAV and a member of the VFW. He served on the Bloomfield Board of Education for many years and was a member of the United Church of Bristol. He retired as Postmaster of the former Holcomb, NY Post Office. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Lucille Gladding McKee, his daughter and son-in-law Deborah and Terry Peters of Honeoye, his sister Margaret Outhouse of Canandaigua and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Elizabeth Abbott and his brothers Robert, Thomas, William and James McKee. Friends may call at Fuller Funeral Home, 190 Buffalo St., Canandaigua, Monday afternoon from 2:00 to 5:00. His funeral service will be held at the United Church of Bristol, 7177 County Road, 2, Bloomfield, NY 14469, Tuesday morning at 11:00 o'clock with burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
