Obituary of Robert Windsor

Robert Beach Windsor Canandaigua - Robert B. Windsor, PhD, age 92, of Ferris Hills passed away on December 2, 2012 at F F Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua. He was predeceased by his parents, Burtis Noble Windsor and Viola Beach Windsor of Pittsford. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Lucy Brown Windsor of Canandaigua and his nephew, Kenneth E. Roberts, Jr (Susan) and their children Christopher, Erin and Laura of Union, NJ. Extended family includes his cousins Dr. Robert Pulver (Joan) of CT; Kathryn Pulver, Irondequoit; Dr Donald Pulver (Robin) Pittsford; and Carolyn Pulver Burke (Brian) Webster. Born in Freeport, Long Island, Robert grew up in Pittsford. He graduated from Hobart College and earned his doctorate in physics at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he had a teaching fellowship and was a staff member in the Radiation Laboratory. He later taught at Johns Hopkins University and then was involved in defense work at Westinghouse, R.C.A. and MITRE Corporation. There will be no calling hours. A service will be held at a later date. Contributions may be made to a charity of your choice. Arrangements are by Fuller Funeral Home in Canandaigua.
