Obituary of Vincent Lenzi

Vincent J. Lenzi (Jim) Canandaigua- Vincent James Lenzi, born November 22, 1922, in Rochester, passed away peacefully with his family at his bedside on Friday, December 21, 2012. He was 90. Jim is survived by his wife, of 61 years, Rose (DeRosa) Lenzi; daughter, Ann (Jack) Moran; son, Vincent (Jane) Lenzi; two grandsons, Adam and Jared Moran; granddaughter, Jaclyn (Jason) Moran –Scholl; great-grandson; Austin Moran; two brothers, Daniel and Peter; brother-in-law, Donato DeRosa; sister in-laws, Madeline (Peter) Pacillio, Margaret Mauro, and Edith Guerrieri, along with several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by four brothers, Kaiser, Floyd, Michael and Joe; two sisters, Millie and Mary; three brothers-in-law, Frank DeRosa, Ted Mauro, Al Guerrieri; two sisters-in-law, Vinzancia (William) Rizzi, Helen (Santo) Catalfamo. Jim served with the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II, and was discharged in 1946. He went to work shortly thereafter for "The Daily Messenger", as a press operator, and retired 46 years later. Jim was well known for being a "Big Yankee Fan" from his early childhood. He loved dancing, learning at the "old" Roseland Dance Hall. Jim enjoyed being with his family, grandchildren and friends. There will be no calling hours. A 10 a.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, December 28, at St. Mary's Church, 95 N. Main St. Canandaigua. Arrangements are under the care of Fuller Funeral Home, Inc. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be forwarded to: Canandaigua V.A.
