I remember that Bill played the lead male role in our high school musical "Little Mary Sunshine", in 1964 or 1965. I have made an audio recording of that musical available, in remembrance of Bill. You can hear Bill's speaking and singing.
I will try to insert the URL for the recording here. richard-o-hammer.org/LittleMarySunshine/ But if this guestbook interface removes the URL, send me email and I will send you the URL in my reply.

Helen, Betsy, Karey, Rob -The words written to describe Bill painted him exactly as we remember him. "Growing up" with your family on Thorndale Beach gave us many memories we shall now cherish all the more. Bill was a true gentleman. Our hearts are sad, but knowing he is a very real part of all you, body and soul, gives comfort. He will be remembered fondly.

My sincere condolences to Bill's entire family. I went to school with Bill and we both graduated in 1966 from Pal-Mac. Although I have not seen Bill in years, he would pop into my mind from time to time and those thoughts would always leave a smile on my face. He truly was one of my "favorites" from that era. He was a friend to all and it was an honor to have know him.

Our deepest sympathy to all of you. We are grieving from afar and cannot tell you how saddened we are. However, Bill would want us to be laughing as we remember all the wonderful times we shared. Couldn't ask for a better friend. We remember all he has done for us and will be forever grateful. God Bless You Bill Payne.

I worked with Bill for 21 years and everything stated in the obituary is true. He was a very kind person and had a great sense of humor and a great laugh. We had many good times together and many laughs. He loved his family very much and enjoyed his grandchildren. He will be missed by all that knew him. Please accept my sincere condolences.
