Obituary of Gertrude Moore

Gertrude D. Moore Canandaigua- Gertrude Moore, 82, passed away March 7, 2013 at M.M. Ewing Continuing Care Center. Gertrude was born in Factoryville, PA, and obtained her bachelor’s degree from Mansfield State College. A former Home Economics Teacher with the Canandaigua School District, She and her husband, Bud, owned and operated Bud’s Polar Bear in Shortsville from 1972 until 1994. Gertrude was predeceased by her husband, Richard T. “Bud” Moore Jr.; sister, Lorna McClain; and an infant brother. She is survived by her children, Gregory Moore; Chad Moore, Tracy (Robert) Moore-Hardin; grandchildren, Carter Moore, Justin Walker; brothers, William, Reese, Richard, Loren, and Dale Dixon; and many loved nieces and nephews. Friends may call Tuesday March 12 from 5-7 p.m. at Fuller Funeral Home, Inc. 190 Buffalo St. Canandaigua, where a 7 p.m. memorial service will follow at the funeral home.
