Obituary of Donald Outhouse

Donald Jean Outhouse October 24, 1927- April 12, 2013 Canandaigua, NY - Donald J. Outhouse went to be with the Lord on April 12, 2013 at age 85. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Gordon and Margruerite Purdy Outhouse; brothers, Richard (Dick), Charles (Chuckie), Laverne; and sister, Ann Frank. Donald is survived by his wife of 53 years, Virginia Busby Outhouse; sons, Henry, of Apopka (FL), Dr. Alan, of Franklinton (NC); daughter, Helen Outhouse, of Franklinton (NC), 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Helen Koch; brothers, Jimmy, Earl, Paul, Elton, and Roy. Born in Canandaigua, Donald served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a business owner, and carpenter for over 30 years. He worked for Clint Ardel from 1953 until moving with his family to Florida in 1972. Donald then gained employment form Babe and Mike Coven whom he worked for till he retired in 1992. He was a life-long fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and was chosen for their farm team out of High School. Donald built a motel (DJ motel, known as Blossoms now) in 1953 after leaving the Army, a shop for Son, Henry (Henry’s Performance), in Florida, and two homes for himself and wife Virginia, both in Florida. Donald was a regular attendee of Adventure Christian Church of Tavares, Fl. for many years. Graveside services will be on Thursday, April 18, at 11 am in Woodlawn Cemetery, Canandaigua. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made for replacement of the gym floor at Adventure Christian Church Tavares, Fl. 3800 Slate Road 19 Tavares FL. 32778 or research to cure Parkinson’s disease, University of Rochester 919 Westfall Rd.
