Obituary of Ronald L. Phillippsen

Ronald L Phillippsen Reeves Rd. Marion NY passed away April 4, 2016 at the Demay Living Center Newark NY. He is the son of the late Bud and Ethelyn Phillippsen. Ron worked in the grocery business for more than 60 years. He took much pride in the Marion Shurfine store that he owned and operated. He enjoyed his boat and being on Canandaigua Lake. He took pride in his yard and enjoyed woodworking and nature. He also loved his God, family, and his church. He is survived by his wife Patricia, Children; Laura (Peter) Engel, Linda (Kurt) Matzke, David (Lisa) Phillippsen, Elizabeth (Brandon) James, Michael (Andy) Calabrese, Scott (Laurie) Calabrese. Sister: Carol (Bob) Austin, and a brother Peter (Sandy) Phillippsen. Nine Grandchildren : Kevin Engel, Candace Engel, Jesse Phillippsen, Kristin Gray, Colleen Matzke, Shawn Matzke, Daryl Matzke, Alyssa James, Aaron James. Great grandchildren: Lilyana, Lila, Aryn. Predeceased by a brother George. Friends may call Sunday April 10th from 2-4 followed by a funeral service at 4 pm at the Fuller Funeral Home 190 Buffalo St. Canandaigua. A private Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in his name to the Demay Living Center 100 Sunset Drive Newark NY 14513.
