Obituary of Ruth M. Nielson

Ruth Claire Miller Nielson Canandaigua- Ruth Nielson, born July 18, 1936, passed away May 16, 2016 in Canandaigua with her sister Ellen Miller Taylor by her side. Ruth is survived by her daughter, Kris Nielson-Key (Lloyd), granddaughter Olivia Kelly (Cody) and grandson Philip Key, all of Canandaigua. Ruth is also survived by her son, David, his wife Dawn, and grand-daughters Kayla and Karlie, all of Gastonia, NC. She was predeceased by a son, Iver Clifford Nielson III. The family would like to thank the staff at The MM Ewing Continuing Care Center in Canandaigua for the loving, compassionate care provided to Ruth in the weeks leading up to her passing. Visitation will be held Friday, May 20, from 11a-1p at Fuller Funeral Home, Inc. 190 Buffalo St. Canandaigua. A 1p memorial service will follow at the funeral home. Graveside internment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Legion Auxiliary, Post 256, 454 N. Main Street, Canandaigua, NY 14424.
