To the loved ones and Bruce's Family, wife, sons daughters, and Grand Children, My prayers go out to you at this time of loosing a loved one, father, and Grandfather. Bruce and I were good friends in high school and parted our separate ways after graduation on 23 June 1973. If I remember right, he told me he was going into the military after high school (Navy I think?). I went to college for 1 1/2 years at R.I.T. and then joined the USAF in Nov 1975. I retired from the USAF on 31 Aug 1994 with USSPACECOM/J3CC, located at Peterson AFB, CO.
I tried over the years to contact Bruce, and we managed to get to talk over the phone one time, about ten years ago. I've been planning a trip back to Canandaigua, NY for some time now, as the last time I was there, I had visited FLCC in May 2006, prior to my departure with the U.S. Dept. of State for Kabul, Afghanistan.
I too, lost my twin brother "Bruce" this year. He died of a heart attack on 04 Jan 2016 at UC Davis Hospital in Sacramento, CA at the age of 60. I believe Bruce knew him in Junior High School, as he transferred to Edison Technical School in Rochester, NY at the age of 15.
Bruce Edwards was a fun guy to hang out with, along with Royce Hagerman. The high school kids at Canandaigua Academy use to call us the "Three Muskateers," as we were always together.
His friends will miss him dearly! My deepest condolences and prayers go out to him and his family at this time!
Respectfully,
Brian Wenzel - Satre

Gone but absolutely not forgotten. He will always be remembered for all the help and encouragement he gave me during my 9 years as an AEMT for Canandaigua Emergency Squad during the 80's.
Bruce, you are finally able to rest. And may your family be at peace with that.

My prayers to the friends and family as they begin their healing process. Bruce was my bus driver in high school and not a single word if that obituary surprises me! He was a great man with a huge heart. May God make your grieving period be over as soon as it begins by remembering how many things this man did while still here on earth.

My heart and condolences to the family and friends of Bruce. Fondly do I remember working with him at Canandaigua Emergency Squad. I know his heart was with the local community and trying to help us care for each other. While I've been away for over 10 years, I can't see that aspect of him changing on that time. Peace. And let us all continue to help each other.

To Debbie and the girls,
I hope you know how much I care for all of you. You opened up your arms and your hearts to Adam and Andrea when you joined your families together. I know Bruce loved you all and he especially loved his grandkids. You were blessed and so was he. He was a amazing man and he gave me the greatest gift ever in Adam and Andrea. You are in my prayers and want to be sure you know that if there's anything you need all you have to do is ask.

Bruce was our sons bus driver and someone our son looked forward to seeing everyday. He had such a vibrant personality and worked so well with the children- he truly was admired by many of the children he saw day to day. He drove our bus route for many years and all the neighborhood kids, even grown, had nothing but praise for Bruce. He was a wonderful, kindhearted man and a true loss to this community. My condolences on your loss.

Debbie and Family, I worked with Bruce many years ago at Mepco Electra. Bruce was a hard worker, very intelligent and very caring. We had many good times together. He helped me out with various car problems over the years. Although we lived in the Canandaigua area, we lost touch with each other somehow. I had heard he was seriously ill and have kept him in my prayers. I'm sure he was met with open arms in heaven as his good deeds have to be known to the Lord.

Derek, Adam, Andrea, Jeff & Debbie (I don't know you Deb), I thought I'd extend my condolences in the loss of your dad, brother and husband. I worked for Bruce at Finger Lakes Ambulance, and when I belonged to Canandaigua Emergency Squad, Bruce was my crew chief and Reggie was my driver.
I will not only miss Bruce very much, but I will cherish the many hours and the many calls that we spent working together. We had a lot of fun, and we spent a lot of time tormenting each other. Bruce was always someone that I could work for, work with, and even if we disagreed, at the end of the day we still respected each other. I tried on many ocassions to meet up with your dad when he was sick and it was usually a chance of when I had the time he was either busy or wasn't feeling up to being visited.
God bless my friend!!
