Obituary of Leon Walter Merlin
Leon W. Merlin, Sr.
Farmington- Leon Merlin passed away December 16, 2016.
He is survived by loving wife and soul mate, Vivian J. Merlin; much loved children, Leon W. Merlin, Jr, Kevin R. Merlin, Vicki (Paul) Golding, Mary Merlin, Nita Eagley; grandchildren, Jason, Brandon, Jessica, Nathanael, Kimberly, Michelle, Lillian, Shawn, Adam, Tegan, Darren; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Leon was predeceased by his parents Vincent and Mabel; brothers, Vincent, Jr and Robert Merlin.
Leon served With the US Navy (12/17/1943 - 6/7/1946) during WWII and the US Army (12/2/1949 – 12/3/1952) during the Korean War. He and his wife were residents of Rushmore Rd, Farmington for 62 years. Leon retired from Eastman Kodak after 30 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, and bowling with the love of his life, Vivian. He will be immensely missed by his family and friends.
Family and friends are invited to attend his service on Thursday, December 22, at 11am at Fuller Funeral Home, Inc. 190 Buffalo St, Canandaigua, followed by a full military burial at Sampson Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Romulus, NY.
Please join the family for a celebration luncheon after the burial at Lifespring Community Church, 5026 N Rd, Canandaigua.
