Sincere condolences from the members of the Women Marines Association. “If the Army and the Navy ever looked on Heaven’s Scenes, they will find the streets are guarded by United States Marines.” (3rd stanza of the Marines Hymn). Take comfort in knowing your beloved Marine has left this life to take up her rightful place in Heaven’s detachment. Madru Family: On behalf of the VA Medical Center, we extend our sympathy. We have many fond memories of Irene volunteering with us. She accumulated over 5,300 hours and was truly an advocate for Veterans. She will be missed. Voluntary Service

To the Family of Mrs. Madru: My condolences to all of you, as you face another very difficult time. May your hearts find a measure of comfort in Our Creator's (Isaiah 42:8) wonderful promises for the near future (John 5:25-29; Revelation 21:4,5; Isaiah 26:19). Grandma was some kind of wonderful. She never hesitated to have us over for spaghetti dinners with Jon, and her love for him radiated through to all of us. She was kind and her home was always open. Strong and not a woman to be trifled with. Especially when the Red Socks were on. Truly one of a kind, fondly remembered and deeply missed by everyone who was fortunate enough to have had her touch their lives.
