Obituary of Franklin O. Parshall

Franklin O'Dell Parshall passed away unexpectedly at the age of 85 on April 9th, 2017, at his home in South Bristol, New York. Born August 10, 1931 in Cheshire, New York, he was the son of the late Archibald Eugene Parshall and Elizabeth Hall Parshall. Frank graduated from Naples Central High School in 1950. He joined the United States Air Force in 1951 where he served as a mechanic until being honorary discharged in 1954. He and his wife Sylvia married June 29, 1957. Frank was an active member of the South Bristol Fish-n-Game club, VFW post 8726, and a retired member of the Rochester Carpenters Local Union 85. Frank was full of knowledge and old stories. He loved tinkering on his tractors and restoring his 1922 Ford model-T. He was fond of old barns, hobby farming, gardening, and dogs. He was a friend to everyone in the community. Many came to him for advice on mechanics, carpentry, and many other passions of everyday country life. Frank was incredibly proud of his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Sylvia (Hill) Parshall; son, Daniel (Pam) Parshall; daughter, Debra (Carl) Burnett; grandsons, Jason (Jillian) Parshall and Joseph Burnett; granddaughters, Amie (Dan) Burnett and Hollie (Jesse) Harvey; and several nieces, nephews, and close friends. He was predeceased by his brother, Richard (Peg) Parshall. Friends may call Friday, April 14th from 12pm to 3pm at Fuller Funeral Home, 190 Buffalo St. Canandaigua, New York. A funeral service will follow at 3pm. Burial will be held Saturday, April 15th at 11am at Pine Hill Cemetery in Cheshire, New York.
