Obituary of Clayton J. Ruggles

Clayton J. Ruggles 4/3/1984 – 6/3/2017 Shortsville- Clayton Ruggles passed away suddenly on June 3, 2017. Clayton grew up in the Shortsville area and graduated from Red Jacket High School. He attended Finger Lakes Community College and went on to Syracuse University, receiving a Bachelor's degree in Forest Biology. Clayton had an infectious smile and a heart of gold!! He enjoyed the outdoors, music and was a very talented artist. He contributed to the community as a fore runner in the development of the recycling program and the green house at Red Jacket School. He is Survived by his parents Dana Ruggles and Pam (Salato) Ruggles, Sister Nichole Ruggles (Patrick Kelly), Neice Alayna Kelly and Nephew Logan Kelly. Aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends. Predeceased by paternal grandparents Carl and Barbara Ruggles, Maternal grandparents Ralph Salato, Ida (DeRosa) Guerriri and Al Guerreri, and Uncle Tom Salato. A special thank you from Clayton's family for all the love and support received by many friends and family. He was loved by many and touched many hearts. Friends may call Saturday, June 10th, from 4pm to 7pm, at Fuller Funeral Home, Inc. 190 Buffalo St. Canandaigua. A 7pm memorial service will follow at the funeral home. Contributions may be made payable to Red Jacket Arts Club.
