Obituary of Harry L. Hurd
Harry Hurd
Family and Friends, Harry Lawrence Hurd, passed away on June 9, 2017.
Harry was born in Penn Yan, New York, on April 14, 1964 to Harry W. Hurd and Laura Whitbeck. He went to Marcus Whitman High School. He spent more than 30 years in the HVAC business, both commercial and residential. The past few years, he was disabled due to his sickness, but he never let that stop him from trying to stay active and enjoy life with his family.
Harry was a strong willed man that told you how it is, but would go out of his way for his family and friends. He loved to spend time outdoors hunting, fishing, golfing, and of course at the racetrack on the weekends. He was happiest helping fellow racers and sharing his knowledge of cars. There isn't a racer in the area that hasn't at least heard of Harry and the crazy car setups he came up with. His soft spot was for his girls, especially his granddaughter Jade. He was a great man that influenced many people in all aspects of life.
He is survived by his daughters Jenna Every, Kara Linden, and Reanne Hurd (Jared Kuczma), granddaughter Jade Every, significant other Sallie Webber, his brother Daryl Hilkert (Tina Liddiard) and his children Daryl Hilkert Jr. (Jennifer Hilkert) and Keisha Hilkert (Kyle Lead), his sister Tina Whitbeck and her daughter Kayla Whitbeck (Adam Benedict), his father Harry W. Hurd (Kathy Hurd), step-brothers Jason Hurd (Jennifer Hurd) and Joey Hurd (Whitney Hurd) and several cousins, aunts, uncles, and loved ones.
He will be truly missed!
