H. John Allhusen

Canandaigua- John Allhusen passed away June 26, 2017 in Davie, FL.

Born to the late John and Helen (Rippy) Allhusen, he graduated from Verona High school, Verona, NJ and Cornell University.

John's deepest loves were his God, his Family, and nature. One of his favorite sayings was, "Go to the Woods for there is Rest." He was exhilarated with a career of thirty five years in health care. He treasured and cherished his church family at Good Shepherd Lutheran church where he has been a member for forty five plus years and served in many leadership capacities. Sailing, canoeing, archery, horseback riding and playing the game of polo gave him fondest memories. More recently enjoying the woods brought him great peace. He adored his wife, children, and their spouses. His grandchildren brought him his greatest pleasure.

John is survived by his wife, Mary Will Allhusen; daughter, Donna (Galit Mazor) Allhusen; son, Jonathan (Andrea Guiliano) Allhusen; grandchildren, Maya, Anna and Ben Mazor-Allhusen; brother, Richard (Lynn) Allhusen; sister, Margaret (Ken) Jones; and several nieces and nephews.
