I don't think I can put into words the positive impact Brother Brahm had on my life. During all the awkwardness of my teenage years, he was always kind to me and could see something good in me. He was such a wonderful home teacher and friend to my family, and I appreciate the many kind things he did for us, from bringing us ice cream to making it to one of my soccer and basketball games each season and more. I am so sorry for your loss, and so grateful for the chance that I had to know Brother Brahm.

As a youngster, I was blessed to have Roger as a scout leader in a tough time in life. Roger always upheld the Scout Oath... trustworthy, loyal, faithful, courteous, kind, obedient, thrifty, clean and reverent. Roger made a lasting mark on a lot of young men's lives' in a positive way, and lived the beliefs he cherished. I went to school with Christine, and knew Jimmy, although not as well, but know that his children were the light of his life and his pride, and joy. My condolences to Roger's family, and friends.

Roger was one of the finest men I have met and he quickly became a good friend to our family. He helped all four of our sons through scouting and was just a true gentle man. I will miss him and I extend my deepest sympathies to Cindy and your children. I have only the best memories!

I am very saddened to learn of Roger's death, he was one of the very few cousins I had and as children I remember riding my bike up the West Lake Road and beyond to visit the vineyard and pick grapes (probably eat as many as we picked) and playing in the barn making tunnels out of the bails. Roger's mother, Doris Standish, was a cousin of my father, Philip M. Standish.
My wife, Merrie, and I send the family our sincere condolences, and will keep them all in our prayers. The BSA Troop 53 will be hearing from me.

I feel very fortunate to have finally met one of my long lost cousins in 2012. Roger helped me with my genealogy questions, and helped me to sort out the Standish family in Bristol. Sending my condolences to Cynthia and family at this difficult time.
